The One Thing You Can Do To Help 48in48!

Hello 48in48 Partner,
Digitally connecting with donors is more of a necessity than ever before, and it’s
exactly what we do for our nonprofits. A lot of nonprofits are struggling, and it’s our job to help them understand that a great website will help increase volunteers and donations. Please take the time to nominate a nonprofit to receive a new website + so much
more. If everyone reading this newsletter, would nominate just one nonprofit, we could change the world. 48in48 has the volunteers, partners and sponsors looking for ways to contribute and support the good that is needed to help get us through this challenging year. The nonprofit application deadline is September 11th.
Also
happening on September 11, the State Farm Virtual Event will be ready to make a difference in their four hub cities, and we couldn’t be more excited. Their nonprofits and volunteers are ready to go! Spanning across the country from Atlanta, Bloomington, Dallas to Phoenix, these State Farm volunteers will bring their skills to give back to their communities.
The 2020 Global Event being executed in partnership with IBM on October 2nd has the support of some incredible organizations that are committed to standing by our side. We are planning to work with volunteers and nonprofits from five countries around the world. Please join us. I want to take a moment to recognize Rebel and Reason, We Are Rosie, and Hands on Atlanta for all their volunteer recruitment assistance. Volunteer Spotlight: Mike Richards
|
|
|
|
|
In 2017, Mike was enrolled at a university in Illinois. He was enrolled in courses that often involved web design and other digital processes. When his friend asked him to participate in his first 48in48 event, Mike jumped at the idea to travel to Boston. Since that first introduction, Mike has played a large role in each 48in48 weekend event for the past three years.

Nonprofit Spotlight: Casa Maderna

It’s incredible to think how our world has faced the COVID-19 pandemic for roughly half a year now. With these changes, nonprofits have adapted quickly based on limited resources while still serving people in immediate need.
As a provider of medical care to new mothers in a local Guatemalan community, Casa Materna is one of those nonprofits.
