As the Global Event concludes 48in48 events for 2023, it also marks the commencement of our annual fundraiser.
In this season of gratitude and giving, we are deeply humbled by the support of our community. From the generosity of our business sponsors to the tireless efforts of our dedicated boots-on-the-ground volunteers — your unwavering support has been instrumental in our continued success, and for that, we extend our heartfelt thanks.

This is especially helpful on Giving Tuesday (TOMORROW, November 28th) when 48in48, and nonprofits everywhere, will be soliciting donations. WHY DONATE?
Recent build events supported teens who are victims of gun violence in Richmond, young mothers in New Orleans, unsheltered couples in Atlanta, and poverty-stricken communities in Africa. Beneficiaries include foster kids, adults with developmental disabilities, students, veterans, artists, and entire neighborhoods through community improvement projects. One recent nonprofit, Hadley's Hope, raises money for medical research impacting the lives of the roughly 500 people living with the rare Niemann-Pick Type C Disease.
This is just a portion of the beneficiaries served by a single build event. In the interest of making a significant impact via a single 48-hour event, 48in48 builds the capacity of nonprofits that provide services for a broad spectrum of individuals. In addition to touching all these lives, volunteers and nonprofit leaders connect with professional development resources and networking opportunities to grow their careers and organizations. The impact is huge!

THE IMPACT OF YOUR DONATION
The most significant expense that donations will cover are operations and technology costs. While grants and sponsorships help support individual 48in48 build events, only a small portion of those funds are available to pay for other needs. In order to effectively serve nonprofits and volunteers, year-round, behind-the-scenes coordination is necessary. Other expenses include hosting, website support, technology infrastructure, insurance, licenses and fees, contractor services and of course - event expenses. Your donation will support connecting a global network of 1,000+ volunteers with 150 nonprofits in 2024!
